The Blue Friday.

Last friday, I went out in this makeup look that I enjoyed so much I ended up making a face chart of it to keep a record of it. In this day and age, I put makeup on once in a blue moon, but when I do, I try to do something different.

You will probably never see a sunset smokey eyes posted on this blog, because I am not that good at makeup, I am not a make up artist in any ways, shapes or forms – I have learnt makeup as I believe it should enhance and perfect your skin. I never wear heavy makeup because I do not like the way it feels but one thing I really like to do to incorporate some colours into my face is using a coloured eye pencil – I found this one in TK maxx and it is boogie beyond words but I genuinely love the colour –  Urban decay also provides very colourful choice of eye pencils if you are on the market for one, and also Charlotte Tilbury Rock ‘N’ Kohl in Marlene Midnight (navy blue° has been one of favourite for years and might be more wearable for everyday.

I started out by applying some concealer and powder under my eyes, then used a beige shadow from a Dior quad in touch (upper left corner colour) as a transition colour but you can easily find some alternatives also – a light dusting of bronzer could also be very pretty for this look – then added the blue liner that that I smoked out with a detail brush to get a light and subtil colour on my lash line. Then applied mascara and a little bit of blush. And this look was complete. Nothing groundbreaking but I really liked branching out of my comfort zone – a little.
